OUR APPROACH

This Privacy Policy applies to the following websites: www.shoppa.co.uk and our application, Shoppa owned and operated by Monily SC (our "Services"). This Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, protection, use, sharing, and disclosure of information we collect when you visit our websites or use our applications. For Google user data collected through Gmail APIs, see specific restrictions on our use of that data are set forth in the section titled Google User Data. You may access our Services only a Smartphone. By your use of our Services, you consent to this Policy and our Terms of Service. This Policy also describes your choices regarding the sharing, use, access and correction of your personal information.

 

Our Services are the following:

 

THE SHOPPA APP

Shoppa is an application that lets you access your email accounts for the purpose of extracting email receipts from purchases from your email provider onto  your device. The App does not read personal emails, access your contacts, extract files or attachments, reference your location data or calendar. The Shoppa app on your phone interacts directly with your mail provider over a secure connection to allow you to view email receipts on your device. The App does not send or delete any email from your email account and does not replace your email service or email application. The password for email provider remains with your email provider we do not transmit this data off your Smartphone to any third party or otherwise, it remains on the Smartphone device and with your email provider.  

 

The service also allows you to access your Bank and/or Credit Card information via a secure third party account aggregation service (Salt Edge) for the purposes of matching transactions to email receipts only. The App does not make payments or allow you to move money between accounts, it only reads the account data.  The user name and password for Bank and/or Credit Card provider remains with your Bank and Credit Card provider the service do not transmit the data off your Smartphone to any third party or otherwise, it remains on the Smartphone device and with your Bank and/or Credit Card provider. Push Notifications. If you opt in to receive push notifications, we will send you push notifications about new shipment status or refund notifications. If you no longer wish to receive these types of communications, you may turn them off at the device level.

 

On Device data storage. Data is held on the device and not remotely, this is limited to commercial emails you receive or you auto-forward from businesses about subscriptions, sign-ups/cancellations, any account requests and confirmations, purchases, travel, reservations, event tickets, boarding passes, promotions, bills and package shipments, and similar transactions. 

 

 

THE SHOPPA WEBSITE

 

The Shoppa website’s purpose is to provide information on the Shoppa App product, it has no transactional capability nor does it offer the ability to see the data collected onto the users Smartphone device in a Web browser. Shoppa website contains the ability to capture email addresses for the purposes of emailing the user with instructions on how to download the Shoppa App from the Apple App Store or Google Play.  

 

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to communicate our products and services to you. Your data (name and email address) may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

 

Marketing & Analytics Partners, we partner with third party marketing and analytics services like Mailchimp, Facebook Analytics and Google Analytics to help us market and understand the use of the website. These third-party partners may receive information about your use of our website and information about your visits to other online services. These service providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide their services to us.

 

The providers measure and collect session information (Non-personal), including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. 

 

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

 

  • To provide and operate the Services;

 

  • To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

 

  • To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

 

 

App Usage & Website Visitor Information.

We use automatically collected information for a variety of purposes, including to:

  • remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your use of our Services;

  • provide custom content, and information related to the service and not for the purposes of advertising. 

  • determine the effectiveness of our Services;

  • fix technology problems reported by our users or engineers that are associated with certain IP addresses;

  • automatically update the application on your system and related devices.

 

OPT OUT  AND DELETION

 

You can opt out at anytime by removing Email or Bank/Credit Card provider access in the device. 

 

Please goto Setting - Email accounts or Bank accounts/cards and press the Bin icon to remove. By performing this action the Shoppa App will no longer be receiving data from the email or the Bank and/or Credit card provider.  Please see below -

SECURITY

It is your responsibility to keep your passwords private and secure. We strongly recommend against sharing your logins and passwords with others. We take the protection of your information very seriously and employs measures through administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. We encrypt all data in transit and at rest. We take reasonable precautions to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, but cannot guarantee these security measures will prevent third parties from obtaining information by illegal actions or attacks.

EU GDPR REGULATIONS

 

The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679  regulations came into force in 25 May 2018. This is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individual citizens of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA), these rights are highlighted below together with a   

 

  • Right to Data Portability: Data provided for the App is stored with your Email provider or Bank/Credit Card provider should you wish to move your data between devices then the user should delete it on their existing device, download the App on the new device and then log into their Email provider or Bank/Credit Card provider via the App to move the data.   

  • Right to Restrict or Oppose: Shoppa App process data on your Smartphone, it does not transmit and hold data off the device therefore all rights to restrict or oppose are with yourself and not Monily SC.

  • Right to Access Correct and Rectify: Shoppa App users  may access, correct and rectify their personal information through their account settings in the Shoppa App.

  • Right To Delete: You can delete the connection to your email provider and/ or Bank or Credit card provider from within the App and delete the App from your Smartphone, this will delete all data from your Smartphone. 

  • Revoking Consent: For the purposes of EU data protection legislation, the "data controller" of your personal information is yourself, your Email provider and the Account aggregation service 

LINKS TO OTHER SITES

Our Services may contain links to other sites that are not under our control and have their own privacy policies. Please read over the rules and policies of third party sites before you proceed to use them. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or content linked on websites, and we provide these links solely for the convenience and information of our users.

 

PRIVACY POLICY UPDATES

We may update this Policy from time to time, so you should review this Policy periodically. When we change the Policy, we will update the ‘last modified’ date at the top of this Policy. If we materially change our Policy, we will notify you of such changes by posting them on this page and/ or by a notification within our Services or via an email. Changes to this Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. Your continued use of our Services after the revised Policy has become effective indicates that you have read, understood, and agreed to the current version of this Policy.

 

GOOGLE USER DATA

Additional Limits on Use of Your Google User Data: Notwithstanding anything else in this Privacy Policy, Gmail account information obtained via the Gmail APIs, is subject to these additional restrictions:

  • The Shoppa Apps may read Gmail message bodies (including attachments), metadata, headers, and settings to provide an App client that allows read emails of a non personal nature and will not transfer any personal data to others unless doing so is necessary to provide and improve these features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

  • The Shoppa App will not use this Gmail data for serving advertisements.

  • Due to the nature of Shoppa  Apps, the Data is stored on your device, no human can read this data from within Monily SC.
